Can I use WST Macros on multiple computers?

Each license is valid for one (1) user on one (1) computer for one (1) year. To use our add-in on multiple computers, you must purchase a separate license for each computer and for each user.

Can I transfer my license to a different computer?

Typically, no. License activation is tied to a specific user on a specific computer. However, requests to transfer a license to another computer are considered on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion.

What happens after I purchase?

You will immediately receive an order confirmation email, containing further instructions for downloading the add-in and retrieving your unique license key.

Why do I need an Internet connection?

Your copy of WST Macros needs to periodically validate your license with our servers. During first-time activation and validation, we retrieve a hashed collection of certain information about your computer for hardware identification purposes – we never see, access, or store any personal information from your computer or files.

Can I use this add-in with Excel for Mac?

At this time, Excel for Mac is not supported. Certain VBA libraries/functions are not available on Excel for Mac, and Alt shortcut keys are unavailable.

Can I request a new feature?

We don't take the addition of new functions lightly, due to our philosophy of encouraging efficient Excel usage and reducing bloat. However, if you think of something that would save you and others a lot of time, please let us know.

Will I be automatically billed upon renewal?

No. We do not offer automatic payment. We consciously choose not to store your credit card information on record, meaning you will need to initiate a new purchase upon renewal.

How do I get my unique license key?

After your purchase, go to the Get License page and enter your email address to request your license key.

How do I use my unique license key?

Upon installing WST Macros, navigate the ribbon menu: WST > Licensing > Activate License. You will be prompted to enter your license key. For more details, see the instructions accompanying the WST Macros add-in.

What will you do with my email address?

We use it to send you your order confirmation, unique license key, and periodic emails regarding major WST Macros updates. You may unsubscribe at any time. We do not spam or share your information with third parties.

Are these macros free?

For a limited time, WST Self-Study users who purchase USD $600 or more of our online classes in one order will be eligible to receive one license key free. Participants in selected public, open-enrollment courses will receive one license key free only if that course is advertised as such. Only one complimentary license is granted per person regardless of the total purchase amount or amount of courses taken. Certain corporate training clients and corporate licensee employees also have access based on the specific arrangement in place. If you do not fall under any of these scenarios, you can purchase a license key.

I made a qualifying WST Self-Study purchase; where's my license?

Why do I get Run-time error '-2146232576 (80131700)' when activating?

Your computer is likely missing an important Windows component called the .NET Framework, which is required to run WST Macros. You can download it directly from Microsoft; it only takes a minute to update.

Do you offer a free trial or demo?

We currently do not offer a free trial of WST Macros. However, we have a video showcasing its key features, including the most common shortcuts that we employ, so you can see how everything works. If you have specific questions about any of the individual features, please contact us.

Do you provide technical support for older versions (prior to 7.0)?

Limited technical support is only available for licensed users (using WST Macros 7.0 or later). We do not offer support for non-licensed users. Older versions of WST Macros are considered deprecated and no longer supported. Please read and follow all included documentation on installation instructions before contacting us, as over 90% of support inquiries are due to not properly following instructions.

Is there an Undo function when using WST Macros?

No, there is no Undo function on any WST Macros features. Please be deliberate and precise as you work in Excel, while adhering to best practices regarding version control and backups. Be wary that all macros (not just ours) in general will invalidate the current Undo "stack" in Excel.
